Name: Kristin Snow
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I’ve only been doing CrossFit for the past 2 months before that I trained for a year with Zac.
What is your favorite exercise or workout?
Running is my favorite. 14.5 is my favorite workout even though it’s killer. I also love doing anything that builds up your hamstrings.
What is your least favorite exercise or workout?
Snatches are my nemesis lol!!! They are a very awkward movement for me.
What were your goals when joining CrossFit? Have you achieved any of those goals?
I have lots of goals (some contradictory ) but I want to build endurance, become stronger, & a faster runner. I always wanted to learn Olympic lifts.
I’m learning & not dreading cleans & snatches as much as I use to…I don’t cringe when I see them in the workouts now lol.
Describe your biggest milestone, achievement, or “A-ha” moment?
One achievement for me was when we had a partner workout & I kept up with my partner (she’s a beast) I felt pretty good after that. I think my “A-ha” moment will be when I can do unassisted pull-ups & full T2B
Has CrossFit affected your life outside the gym?
It has made me more aware of everyday movements. It’s also helped with my nutrition & I always leave in a better mood than when I got there.
What advice would you give people just starting CF?
I would tell people not to be intimidated. There’s not a “cookie cutter” type for CrossFit & that everyone was once a beginner. To not believe the hype about CrossFit “everyone gets hurt”, “it’s a cult”, etc…to try it out for themselves.
Anything else you want to add?
I look forward to my time at CFBN (even though I’m sore most of the time). The coaching staff has more knowledge & experience then any other gym I’ve been to. I was nervous switching from PT to classes but I’ve never once felt like an outsider. The members are so encouraging & friendly!!!
A Note from the Coaches:
Kristin has only been doing crossfit for a couple months now, but she is a rockstar! She always has a smile on her face and is such a joy to have in class! She is always up for trying something new! Keep kicking butt! 🙂
